ALL AMERICAN FRUIT PIZZA (DESSERT)

All American Fruit Pizza (Dessert) image

I got the recipe for the cookie pizza crust and marshmalllow sauce from a magazine several years ago. The recipe suggested different fruit combinations for toppings. I usually decorate it with red (strawberries), white (marshmallow sauce), and blue (blueberries) for Memorial Day and July 4th. I'm sure most everyone has a similar recipe but this one is especially quick and easy. And its very good.

All American fruit pizza is a fantastic dessert that combines the sweetness of fruit with the crunch of a cookie crust. It is a beautiful and delicious way to add some fruit to your diet while indulging in a dessert. However, there are some valuable tips that you need to keep in mind when making an all-American fruit pizza recipe. In this article, we will discuss some of the valuable tips that will help you create a delicious all-American fruit pizza. Selecting the Right Fruits The first tip is to select the right fruits for your all-American fruit pizza. It is essential to choose fruits that complement each other in terms of texture and taste. Some great fruit combinations include strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, or kiwi, mango, and pineapple. When selecting fruits, make sure they are ripe, and if possible, choose fruits that are in season as they will be the freshest and most flavorful. Preparing the Fruit Once you have selected your fruit, it is essential to prepare it properly. Wash the fruits under running water and drain them well. Then, remove any stems and seeds or pits. Cut the fruits into small pieces, keeping in mind that they need to fit nicely onto the crust. You can also create some fun shapes with the fruit if you like. Baking the Crust The crust is the foundation of the all-American fruit pizza, so it is crucial to bake it correctly. When making the crust, ensure you roll it out evenly, and it has reached your desired thickness before putting it in the oven. Bake the crust until it is golden brown, and crispy around the edges. Overcooking the crust will make it too hard and challenging to cut into slices. Adding the Cream Cheese Frosting The cream cheese frosting is what brings it all together, so it is crucial to get it right. When making the frosting, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature, as this will make it easier to mix. Use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy, and there are no lumps. Add some powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until everything is well combined. Be careful not to add too much sugar as this will make the frosting too sweet. Assembly Now that all your components are ready, it's time to assemble your all American fruit pizza. Start by spreading the frosting evenly on top of the cooled crust, leaving some space around the edge. Once you have spread the frosting, arrange the prepared fruits on top, making sure to cover the entire pizza. You can arrange the fruits in a random pattern or create a design if you prefer. Chilling The final step is to chill the all-American fruit pizza in the refrigerator for a few hours. This step is essential as it allows the cream cheese frosting to firm up, making it easier to cut into slices. It also helps to enhance the flavor of the fruits. Conclusion All American fruit pizza is undoubtedly a crowd favorite, and with these valuable tips, you can make it even more delicious. Remember to select the right fruits, prepare them well, bake the crust to perfection, and make the frosting right. Don't forget to assemble your all American fruit pizza artfully and chill it before serving. By following these tips, you will make a dessert that will leave everyone asking for more.
