60 Ritz crackers, crushed
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3 (4 ounce) packages French vanilla instant pudding
2 cups milk
1/2 gallon French vanilla ice cream, softened
1 (8 ounce) container whipped cream
10 Ritz crackers, crushed

Steps:

  • Combine 60 crackers, butter and walnuts in bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Pat into nonstick 9"x13" pan.
  • Beat pudding mixes in milk in mixer bowl until thick.
  • Add ice cream.
  • Mix well.
  • Spoon into prepared pan.
  • Spread whipped cream over all.
  • Sprinkle with 10 crushed crackers.
  • Chill until set.

I found this recipe at Taste of Home and haven't tried it, but can't wait to! Oreos, ice cream, whipped cream...truly sinful! Prep time equals freezing time.

24 Oreo cookies, crushed
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 gallon ice cream, softened
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
16 ounces chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ounces whipped topping
1 cup pecans or 1 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter.
  • Press into 9x13" pan.
  • Freeze 30 minutes.
  • Top with softened ice cream.
  • Freeze another 30 minutes.
  • Make a syrup with the condensed milk, chocolate syrup and butter by combining in saucepan and bringing to a boil.
  • Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the vanilla.
  • Pour on top of ice cream.
  • Freeze another 30 minutes.
  • Spread Cool-Whip over the top.
  • Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, place in refrigerator to help ease in serving.

22 ice cream sandwiches
1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (12 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
1 ½ cups salted peanuts

Steps:

  • Cut one ice cream sandwich in half. Place one whole and one half sandwich along a short side of a high-sided 9x13-inch casserole dish. Repeat until bottom is covered, alternating the whole and half sandwiches. Spread with half of the whipped topping. Pour caramel on top. Sprinkle with half of the peanuts. Repeat layers with remaining ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping, and peanuts. The pan will be full. Cover and freeze for up to 2 months. Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving. Cut into squares.
