CHRISTMAS MUFFINS image

Yield 12-18 muffins

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter/room temp.
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
6 tlbs melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 In a mixing bowl stir together flour, baking powder, nutmeg and 1/2 tsp salt. set aside. In mixer cream together 1/2 cup sugar, butter, and egg. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to cream mixture, beating well after each addition. Fill 12(ish) greased muffin tins(use cupcake papers)2/3 full. Bake 20-25 minutes. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Dip hot muffins in melted butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
