Cheesy Green Bean Casserole with Almond Topping image

Topped with a mixture of buttery cracker crumbs and sliced almonds, this cheesy green bean casserole is a nutty twist on an old favorite.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 lb. (8 oz.) 2% Milk VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup milk
3 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen cut green beans, thawed, drained
18 round buttery crackers, crushed (about 3/4 cup)
1/3 cup sliced almonds
2 Tbsp. olive oil

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Cook 2% Milk VELVEETA and milk in saucepan on low heat 10 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally.
  • Pour over beans in 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray; stir until evenly coated. Bake 15 min.; stir.
  • Combine cracker crumbs, nuts and oil; sprinkle over bean mixture. Bake 10 min. or until heated through.
